Hello! My name is Sam and I'm an aspiring author. I thought writing fanfiction for the Harry Potter fandom would be perfect practice to find out just where my weaknesses lie. I traditionally write poetry so this maybe difficult or it might not be I'm not quite sure yet, but I guess I will find out soon. I am open to receiving concrit but I will not take flamers lightly, and yes I can tell the difference. An example of concrit, somebody who tells you that your characterization is off and why; of flames, well I think they're fairly obvious when they happen. I am trying to learn/grow here and I can't learn from my mistakes if all I am told is that I can't write. I do not write as often as I'd like to and many of the things I do write will be posted at my regular journal as well, if you are here for the writing add this journal not my personal one. This journal is an archive of sorts.
Within the Harry Potter fandom there really is no character that I don't like because they are all well written and serve their own purpose, though at the moment Hermione has to be my least favorite character. Her personality just grates on me. Some of my favorite characters in the books are Sirius, Remus, and Ginny. My favorite Harry Potter book so far is probably Order of the Phoenix because of the intensity of the details. I am not really a shipper (though I do like Remus/Sirius and James/Lily) and I don't have a lot of time to read fanfiction. I can't really stop you from leaving a rec in a comment but do realize that IF I do read it I am likely going to leave some sort of concrit, if you can't handle that than don't bother leaving the comment.
